There is a full programme of events and activities available throughout the year. Details of the main holidays programme will appear below, but there is always something on in the half-term breaks too!

This is for Pony Club members only, it will run for three consecutive days, Mon 19th July, Tues 20th July and Wed 21st July. All three days will start at 9am and finish at 4pm. During the three days members will have the chance to practice jumping, dressage, gymkhana games, bareback riding and go hacking! In-between all the riding all members will be able to take a badge. We will also be practicing lots of stable management. We will be doing lots of little competitions over the three days and there will be lots of rosettes to collect on the final day! Cost for three days is £100.
Pony care days are for any children age 5yrs and over of any riding abilities. Children can do a half day or a full day. The day starts at 9am and finishes at 4pm. Throughout the day each child has a lesson in the morning and rides in the gymkhana games in the afternoon. When we are not riding we take part in lots of stable management such as bathing and grooming the horses, plaiting, tack cleaning and mucking out. On each pony care day we choose a topic to learn about, this could be, points of the pony, colours and markings on the pony, items of the grooming kit or parts of the saddle and bridle. Each child comes home with work sheets on the chosen topic. Cost, full days 9-4pm £35, half days 9-12/1-4 £25. Please remember to bring a packed lunch.

The Bradgate Park picnic and ride is for children who can competently walk and trot off the lead rein. We ask that all children meet us at the Hallgates entrance to the park at 10am and be collected at 12 noon. Each child will ride for 1hr through Bradgate Park on the horse path, and will spend the other hour with a member of staff grooming and eating your picnic! The ice-cream van usually arrives about 12 noon so you may want to bring along some money for an ice-cream! Don’t forget to bring packed lunch and a riding hat from the stables if you haven’t got your own. Cost £20.
Beginner Lessons – Throughout the summer holidays we will be holding discount children’s group riding lessons every Friday afternoon. It is open to children age 5yrs and over. The lessons are for beginners or for children who have only had a few lessons. Each lesson is £15 to be paid on the day, book as and when you want. 2-3pm & 3-4pm
This for children who can ride competently off the lead rein. We will spend the morning learning and practicing a simple pony club dressage test. After lunch each child will ride their test and be marked on it. There will be rosettes for everyone! We will be finishing the day with some fun gymkhana games with apple bobbing if the weather is nice! 9am – 4pm £35.

Throughout the morning each child will have a riding lesson working towards being confident in canter and riding canter exercises. In the afternoon each child has a jumping lesson and then competes in a friendly jumping competition. Throughout the day we practice lots of stable management. Everybody gets a rosette at the end of the day! 9am-4pm costs £35.

During the morning there will treks and lessons on the hour 9-10, 10-11 and 11-12. This is a chance for parents/aunties/uncles/ brothers/sisters etc to come and ride together. We can ride in the school or out in the fields depending on the level of riding. This will be at a discount price of £15 per person for an hours ride (normally £24 for adults and £20 for children). We will run through all the basic riding skills!
Beginner Lessons – This is for children age 5yrs and up. The lessons are for beginners or for children who have had a few lessons. These lessons will be on every Friday in the summer holidays from 2pm-3pm and 3pm-4pm. Discount pricing £15. This is not a set course you can book to come as and when you want to!
This is open to all of our adult customers’ age 18yrs and over. Open to liveries as well as riding school customers. The morning will be spent concentrating on jumping with a small jumping competition before lunch. Rosettes for everyone! We will be having lunch down at the village pub, The Wheatsheaf Inn. After lunch each rider will learn a dressage test and have a short lesson on their chosen horse to have a practice ride through the test. We will be finishing off the afternoon with a friendly dressage competition with an outside judge to mark the test. The cost for the day is £45, this is to include all riding tuition throughout the day, hire of horse if needed, entry fee into the competitions and rosettes! Food and drinks at the pub not included in the cost.

This is for all children who can competently walk, trot and canter off the lead rein. We will spend the morning working on how to ride a course of jumps correctly and perfecting our jumping position. In the afternoon we will be holding several jumping competitions for the children to join in whichever height they want to, finishing with a fun class! Everybody will receive a rosette at the end of the day. The photographer will be around to take photos of the children jumping for anybody who would like to purchase them at the end of the day. Please let us know at the start of the day if you would not like us to photo your child. 9am-4pm cost £35.

We will be holding one of our very popular dressage competitions again. The competition is open to both liveries and riding school customers. It will be a prelim test aimed at riders who can walk, trot and canter competently. The competition will start at approx 4pm and finish around 8pm. Both adults and children can enter, the cost is £20, this includes hire of the horse, rosette and your test sheet with comments from the judge. You do not need to be here for the whole competition, you can give us a preferred time to ride your test and then allow yourself 20 minutes to warm up.
Dressage Practice – During the morning we will be holding a practice session for anyone who would like to have a final ride through the test on a pony/horse of their choice. 9am-10.30am £10.

For pony club members only, excluding mini members. We will be starting the day by getting our ponies prepared for the show. This will include washing, grooming, plaiting, tack cleaning etc. Throughout the day we will be running lots of different competitions such as jumping, ridden showing, in-hand showing, handy pony, gymkhanas etc. The children can decide which classes they want to ride in. There will rosettes for every class. The day will start at 9am and finish at 4pm. Please come in correct pony club uniform and remember a packed lunch. Cost £35.

There will be ½ hr private lesson slots available all morning, cost£16, and 1hr hacks going out 10-11am and 11am-12pm, cost £24 adults and £20 children. You can request the instructor and horse of your choice.
